EuroBasket - At least seven key players from their national teams have suffered injuries leading to their withdrawal from the rest of EuroBasket 2025.

With Alexandre Sarr’s withdrawal, another major player from a national team has to cross out the rest of the competition. The list of withdrawals keeps growing as days go by. While injuries are inherent to high-level sports, the rate of these injuries raises questions, with a quite intensive competition rhythm in this first round. Here are all the players already withdrawn for the rest of the competition:

  • Johannes Voigtmann (Germany)
  • Andrejs Grazulis (Latvia)
  • Bogdan Bogdanovic (Serbia)
  • Siim-Sander Vene (Estonia)
  • Rokas Jokubaitis (Lithuania)
  • Alexandre Sarr (France)

Let’s hope this list doesn’t grow longer as Vasilije Micic (Serbia), Arturs Zagars and Kristers Zoriks (Latvia) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece) have been injured these past two days.
