Head Coach
Laurent Vila is the new head coach of SIG Strasbourg where he signed for two seasons (2024 to 2026). He replaces Massimo Cancellieri who only coached for one season despite having a two-year contract. After being on Limoges CSP's bench between 2021 and 2023, the Italian coach was notably assisted by Thomas Drouot, and experienced the unexpected departure of his assistant Bruno Savignani in November 2023.
On June 11, 2025, SIG Strasbourg has its new head coach: Latvian Jānis Gailītis (Luca Banchi's assistant with Latvia).
Budget
For the 2024/2025 season, Strasbourg has a projected budget of €7.1M (up from €6.9M last year, +3%), making it the 5th largest budget among the 16 Betclic Elite clubs (ref. announcement by DNCCGCP on October 22, 2024).
For the 2023/2024 season, Strasbourg had a projected budget of €6.9M (down from €7.0M the previous year, -1%), ranking as the 5th largest budget among the 18 Betclic Elite clubs (ref. DNCCGCP announcement on October 12, 2023).
Youth Academy
The SIG Strasbourg youth academy (SIG: Strasbourg Illkirch-Graffenstaden) includes an Espoirs Team and a Cadets team. The Espoirs train at Rhenus Sport, which is the professional team's home arena (6,166 seats). It features a court, weight room, and video room. The Youth Academy also trains in an auxiliary facility: the Human Rights Sports Center (one tram stop from Rhenus Sport) and uses the Post Hall in Illkirch for cadet matches.
