An unusual journey through NBA, G-League and Europe
Having moved to Canada at age 7, Karim Mane made a name for himself at Vanier High School in Montreal before entering the 2020 NBA Draft. Though undrafted, he still joined Orlando, playing ten NBA games and winning the G-League title in his first season. After several G-League experiences (Memphis Hustle, Greensboro Swarm, Delaware Blue Coats), he continued his career in Europe, with a notable season in Bulgaria (averaging 21.2 points with Shumen), followed by a brief stint in Greece (second division) and then in his home country Canada.
A summer of confirmation with Senegal
Already a Canadian U19 international, Karim Mane chose to represent Senegal in 2023. With the Lions of Teranga, he played in the 2025 AfroBasket qualifiers before winning the bronze medal in Angola. This experience confirms his return to prominence.
The Rouen coach’s perspective
Coach Sylvain Delorme expressed his satisfaction with this arrival: « Karim Mane is an athletic guard and a solid defender. He’s exactly the profile I was looking for to complete our roster. Capable of contributing in many aspects of the game, he will perfectly strengthen our backcourt alongside Tray, Rosaire and Valentin. After an impressive run at AfroBasket with Senegal, culminating in a bronze medal, Karim should join us in the coming weeks. »
