What a turnaround. After dropping the first two games of this best-of-7 semifinal series, BK KVIS Pardubice have now won three straight and sit on the brink of the Czech Maxa NBL Finals. The latest chapter was written on May 25 in dominant fashion, with a 15-point demolition of PUMPA Basket Brno that sent a clear message: this series has completely shifted.
Bonham Takes Over in Game 5
Robert Lee Bonham was simply unstoppable. The American forward put up 29 points — the game-high — along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists in just 23 minutes and 24 seconds of action. His efficiency and impact in limited time underlined just how locked in he was, and how little Brno could do to contain him.

Bonham did not do it alone, though. Joe Bryant Jr. added 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in another high-quality outing, while Kamil Svrdlik contributed a well-rounded 15 points and 8 rebounds. The combination of star power and depth proved too much for Brno to handle. Adam Lukes chipped in 7 points, and Ryan Moffatt, who logged over 31 minutes, provided solid work on both ends of the floor.
A Complete Defensive Performance
Equally impressive was Pardubice’s defensive effort. Holding Brno to just 75 points, they stifled a team that had looked sharp in the opening two games. Tevin Thomas Olison led Brno with 18 points and 3 assists, but received little consistent support. David Jelinek added 12 points, Viktor Pulpan posted 11 points and 7 assists, and Ryker Broden Cisarik grabbed 8 rebounds alongside his 10 points — but none of it was enough to slow Pardubice’s momentum.
The contrast with the start of the series is striking. Brno had looked in full control after wins in Games 1 and 2, taking Pardubice down 82-85 and 89-92 respectively. But since then, Pardubice have responded with three straight victories, each one more convincing than the last — 82-72 in Game 3, 94-90 in Game 4, and now a commanding 90-75 in Game 5.
One Win Away from the Finals
Pardubice now need just one more victory to advance to the Czech Maxa NBL 2025-2026 Finals, with Games 6 and 7 still on the schedule if needed. Brno, on the other hand, must win three consecutive games to force the issue — a near-impossible task given their current form and the confidence surging through the Pardubice roster.
If Bonham and Bryant Jr. continue performing at this level, it is hard to see how Brno can reverse the tide. Pardubice look like a team that has found its rhythm at exactly the right moment, and the Finals could be just one game away.
