The lineup for the adidas NextGen EuroLeague 2026 finals is now official. For its 24th edition, the most prestigious U18 basketball tournament on the planet will set up shop in Athens, Greece, alongside the EuroLeague Final Four. Among the eight title contenders, Pôle France will be a serious candidate after making a strong impression during the latest qualifying phases.

It was in Serbia, on March 22nd, that François Peronnet’s players punched their ticket to Greece. After eliminating FMP Belgrade then Partizan during the group phases, the INSEP residents dominated Red Star Belgrade in the final (95-73).

French academy chasing Real Madrid’s record

Pôle France, already crowned champions in 2010 and 2017, will attempt to close the gap with Real Madrid in the competition’s pantheon. The Madrilenians, holders of the record with five titles, will be in attendance, as will Zalgiris Kaunas, defending champions after their triumph in Abu Dhabi last year.

The list of eight participants mixes regulars and newcomers:

The competition will begin on Thursday, May 21st at the Sunel Arena for three days of group phase action (12 matches total). The two group winners will then meet on Sunday, May 24th for the grand final at Athens’ Telekom Center. This final match will serve as the curtain-raiser for the EuroLeague final, in front of scouts from around the world.

For fans unable to make the trip to Greece, the entire tournament will be broadcast on the EuroLeague‘s YouTube channel.
