Player Profile

When Zyon Pullin took his first steps on the court at FedExForum with the Memphis Grizzlies in January 2025, few could have imagined the winding road that had led him to that coveted two-way contract. The point guard from Pleasant Hill, California, has turned every obstacle into a stepping stone toward his NBA dream.

A lifelong admirer of Damian Lillard who grew up rooting for the Portland Trail Blazers, Pullin first honed his skills at UC Riverside, where his performances earned him multiple All-Big West selections. But it was his transfer to the University of Florida that revealed his true potential. In a single season with the Gators, he earned a spot on the All-SEC First Team and put together a remarkable statistical feat: two consecutive games with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists — a performance only one other Florida player had achieved since 1996.

His journey has not been without turbulence. A three-game suspension for participating in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament without prior NCAA authorization speaks to his determination to seize every opportunity, even at the cost of penalties. Going undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Pullin refused to give up and went on to make stints with the Miami Heat organization and the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Today, this versatile point guard splits time between the Memphis Grizzlies and their G League affiliate, the Hustle. His basketball IQ and ability to make an impact across all statistical categories make him an intriguing prospect for the future.
