When Quincy Olivari received his master's degree from Xavier in December 2024, he proudly wore his Lakers jersey under his graduation gown — a perfect symbol of his unique journey between academic excellence and professional ambitions.

Developed at Westlake High School in Atlanta, where he averaged 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game as a senior, the guard first built his reputation at Rice University over four seasons. His scoring ability then took him to Xavier for his graduate season, where he broke out with 19.1 points per game and the best three-point percentage in the Big East.

Undrafted in the 2024 NBA Draft, Olivari quickly found his path by signing with the Los Angeles Lakers. His stint with the South Bay Lakers in the G League allowed him to sharpen his professional game, demonstrating the adaptability that has defined his journey since Atlanta.

A graduate in sports administration from Rice and holder of a master's degree from Xavier, the son of Gerald and Courtney Olivari embodies a generation of players who combine a strong college education with NBA ambitions.
