When Kendall Brown steps onto the court, his family legacy resonates in every move. The son of Courtney Sr., a former Harlem Globetrotter who went on to play professionally overseas, the forward born in St. Paul carries a passion passed down through generations, alongside his older brother Courtney Jr., who also plays at the college level.
His high school journey reflects remarkable growth. After leading East Ridge High School to its first state tournament with an average of 17.6 points per game in his sophomore year, Brown made a decisive move by joining the prestigious Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas. The transition paid off: alongside future star Kennedy Chandler, he helped propel his team to the GEICO Nationals championship game in his final season.
His outstanding performances earned him spots at the biggest events in American high school basketball. Selected for the McDonald's All-American Game, the Jordan Brand Classic, and the Nike Hoop Summit, Brown confirmed his status as an elite prospect.
