Player Profile
When Justin Edwards steps onto the courts in Philadelphia with the 76ers, he comes full circle from where it all began on the streets of his hometown. This 6'7" forward weighing 203 lbs grew up watching his mother Ebony Twiggs play the game, having shone at Cheyney University before going on to pursue her professional career in Portugal.
At Imhotep Institute Charter High School, Edwards quickly proved he had inherited the family talent, leading his team to multiple state championships. These early successes opened the doors to the University of Kentucky, one of the most prestigious college programs in the country, where he honed his game against the national elite.
The road to the NBA was not that of a heralded star. Going undrafted in the 2024 draft, Edwards seized the opportunity offered by his hometown franchise, the Philadelphia 76ers, who bet on this local talent. Playing between the main roster and the Delaware Blue Coats in the G League, he has been climbing the ladder with the determination of someone who was never handed anything on a silver platter.
His profile as a versatile forward, capable of bringing size and flexibility to perimeter positions, fits perfectly with the demands of the modern game.
