When Jordan Miller hit his seventh consecutive shot during the 2023 NCAA Elite Eight, then converted all thirteen of his free throws without missing, he delivered one of the most perfect performances in college tournament history. That magical night with Miami perfectly captures the journey of this California forward: a steady climb toward excellence.
Having arrived in Virginia at age six, Miller built his character on the courts of Loudoun Valley High School, where he became the school's all-time leading scorer. His high school exploits opened the doors to George Mason University, where he flourished over three seasons before taking a decisive step forward by transferring to Miami in 2021.
The transfer paid off: Miller led the Hurricanes to the NCAA Final Four, earning an All-ACC Second Team selection along the way. His stats speak for themselves: 132 starts in 142 college games, with averages of 12.8 points and 6.0 rebounds that reflect his versatility.
Selected 48th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, Miller started on a two-way contract before ultimately winning the California franchise over for good. His standout performances in the G League earned him a four-year, $8.3 million contract in 2025.
Coming from a basketball family, Miller remains humble despite his rapid rise. When his former coach Jim Larrañaga symbolically presented him with his Final Four and ACC championship rings in 2025, it was recognition of an exemplary journey that is only just beginning.
