Player Profile
Grant Golden is an American basketball player who plays the center position. Born on January 15, 1998 in Winchester, Virginia, he stands 2.08 m tall. Recognized for his soft hands, basketball IQ and ability to make his teammates better, Grant Golden has established himself as a versatile and experienced big man on European courts.
Having attended the University of Richmond, Grant Golden made history with the Spiders in NCAA. He is among the rare players to have surpassed the 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds mark in his college career, excelling both through his offensive efficiency and his court vision. Used both with his back to the basket and facing the rim, he distinguished himself through his consistency and team intelligence during his six NCAA seasons.
Undrafted in 2022, Grant Golden began his professional career in the G-League before quickly moving to Europe. He first discovered Italian Serie A in Cremona, where he adapted to European basketball thanks to his offensive versatility and excellent passing ability. His performances then allowed him to join AEK Athens, with whom he had a remarkable season, concluded with a third-place finish in the Basketball Champions League.
In 2025, Grant Golden joined Manresa to play in Liga Endesa and EuroCup, continuing his adaptation to the highest European level. A mobile, unselfish and reliable big man, he asserts himself as a center capable of providing offensive versatility, securing rebounds and facilitating team play.
In winter 2026, Grant Golden signed with Élan Chalon for the 2025-2026 season, to strengthen Chalon's frontcourt in Betclic ELITE and on the European stage. His experienced and complementary profile is expected to balance the roster and meet the demands of the second half of the season.
