Player Profile
When Dominick Barlow signed his first NBA contract with the San Antonio Spurs in 2022, he made history by becoming the very first Overtime Elite player to join the professional ranks. An unconventional path for this 6'9" big man who turned every step of his career into a springboard toward his ambitions.
Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, Barlow first shone in high school despite the constraints of the COVID-19 pandemic. His senior season at Dumont High School remains memorable: averages of 27.6 points and 17 rebounds per game, statistics that earned him the North Jersey Player of the Year award. This local dominance was confirmed on the national stage with the New York Rens in the prestigious Nike EYBL circuit, where he helped lead his team to the Peach Jam semifinals.
His choice to join Overtime Elite for its inaugural season in 2021 already reflected his forward-thinking vision. With averages of 14.8 points and 5.9 rebounds, he validated that bold bet by proving that this alternative path could lead directly to the NBA. His two-way contract with San Antonio made that ambition a reality, and his debut on November 2, 2022 marked the culmination of a unique journey.
Since then, Barlow has broadened his experience between the NBA and G League, passing through Austin before joining the Philadelphia and Atlanta organizations. His versatility and development potential continue to attract attention from franchises, confirming that his story is only just beginning.
