Player Profile
At thirteen years old, DaQuan Jeffries discovered basketball and immediately found his role model in Kawhi Leonard. This admiration left such a deep impression on the young man from Edmond that he later chose to wear the same number as his idol during his time at the University of Tulsa.
Jeffries' college journey illustrates his determination: after starting at Oral Roberts, he moved through Western Texas College before flourishing at Tulsa. This winding road shaped a character that his teammates and coaches unanimously praise for its exemplary work ethic.
A professional for several seasons, the American small forward has turned his versatility into a major asset. From the Sacramento Kings to the Houston Rockets, through Memphis and New York, Jeffries adapts to each environment with the same dedication. This adaptability earned him a selection with Team USA during the 2021 Americas World Cup qualifying tournament, where he contributed to a bronze medal with averages of 9.3 points and 3.3 rebounds.
Basketball runs in the Jeffries family: his cousin Royce played at Oklahoma State from 1986 to 1990, creating a legacy that DaQuan carries on with pride. Surrounded by his wife Chantel Christie and a large group of siblings, he draws from these family ties the stability needed for his nomadic career between the NBA and the G League.
