A native of Philadelphia, Plowden made history at Mastery Charter North School by becoming the first player to surpass the 1,000-point mark. His outstanding performances earned him two All-State selections and Player of the Year honors in two different divisions, as he led his team to several perfect seasons. Ranked among the top 20 prospects in Pennsylvania, he joined Bowling Green in 2016, where he set an impressive durability record: 154 consecutive games played without missing a single one, making him the most-used player in program history.

From the New Orleans Pelicans to the Golden State Warriors, through the Orlando Magic and the Oklahoma City Thunder, he has accumulated experience through two-way contracts and G League stints.
