Player Profile

When Chris Livingston led Buchtel High School to its first state semifinal since 1997 in his very first year, setting the school's freshman scoring record in the process, Ohio basketball realized an exceptional talent had emerged. Born in Akron in 2003, Livingston started playing at age five and never stopped climbing the ranks, accompanied by his twin brother Cordell throughout this remarkable rise.

His high school journey perfectly illustrates his pursuit of excellence: after Buchtel, he moved to Western Reserve Academy and then Oak Hill Academy for his senior year, establishing himself as one of the most coveted five-star prospects in the country. This national recognition earned him an offer from Ohio State at just 14 years old, confirming his status as an early prodigy.

On the international stage, Livingston also shone by winning gold and being named MVP at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship with Team USA. This performance highlighted his ability to elevate his game in crucial moments, a defining quality since the very beginning of his career.

After one season at the University of Kentucky, the versatile forward made the leap to the professional level when he was selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 58th pick in the 2023 NBA Draft. Paradoxically chosen with the last pick, Livingston turned the situation into additional motivation. His versatility and well-rounded game allowed him to quickly adapt to the demands of the NBA, even participating in the playoffs during his first seasons. With two NBA campaigns already under his belt, the Akron native continues to prove that talent and determination transcend draft rankings.
