Player Profile

In the Holiday family living room, basketball trophies have been piling up for decades, but Aaron Shawn Holiday carved out his own path to excellence. Born on September 30, 1996, in Ruston, Louisiana, this point guard plays in the prestigious shadow of his brothers Jrue and Justin, both NBA players, and his mother Toya, named best player in the Pac-10 conference in 1982 at Arizona State.

At Campbell Hall High School in California, Aaron quickly established himself as an indispensable starter over four seasons. His determination took him all the way to the CIF Southern Section championship final, a performance that earned him the co-Player of the Year title from the Los Angeles Daily News. These high school achievements naturally opened the doors to UCLA, where he joined his sister Lauren, who also played for the Bruins women's team.

On college courts, Holiday built his reputation as a tenacious defender and a visionary point guard. But it is from behind the arc that his talent shines brightest: with a 42.2% three-point shooting percentage, he finished as the fifth-best long-range shooter in UCLA history. This formidable efficiency caught the attention of NBA scouts.

Selected 23rd overall by the Indiana Pacers in the 2018 draft, Aaron officially joined the very exclusive circle of NBA families with multiple brothers active simultaneously. Now wearing the Houston Rockets colors, the youngest of the Holiday brothers continues to write his own chapter in this family basketball saga, armed with his surgical precision and court vision inherited from California's hardwood floors.
