Cleveland establishes early control
From the opening tip, Cleveland imposed their tempo. Leading 39-29 at the end of the first quarter, the Charge maintained their advantage at halftime (77-69), before definitively pulling away after the break. The gap extended to +18 entering the fourth quarter (118-100), then ballooned to +30 at the final buzzer, reflecting total collective dominance.
In this offensive showcase, Killian Hayes shined brightest. The Franco-American guard compiled 26 points, 7 rebounds, and most notably 18 assists – matching his season-high – while adding 1 steal. Over 33 minutes, he displayed impressive efficiency, shooting 10/19 from the field, including 2/7 from 3-points, and 2/2 from the free-throw line.
As the game’s second-leading scorer and top facilitator, Hayes perfectly embodied Cleveland‘s imposed tempo, consistently making the right reads and creating opportunities for his teammates. This victory marked the second consecutive win against College Park, following their 133-115 triumph on February 3rd.
Solid season numbers reinforce G-League impact
Thanks to this success, the Cleveland Charge sits in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference with a record of 11 wins and 5 losses, tied with the second-place Greensboro Swarm.

Throughout the regular season, Killian Hayes continues demonstrating consistency: 14 games played (all as a starter), averaging 23.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 9.2 assists, and 1.6 steals. He currently ranks 4th among G-League‘s best passers, proof of his constant influence on the court. However, his 3-point shooting percentage has declined (30.4% from 3-points, on 6.9 attempts per game).
These performances have earned him a spot in the NBA G-League Next Up Game, a showcase featuring the league’s top players during All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles in mid-February.
