Limoges CSP without Nicolas Lang and Shawn Tanner against Dijon

Betclic Elite - Limoges CSP will face Dijon this weekend without their captain Nicolas Lang and Shawn Tanner. These two absences complicate coach Dario Gjergja's plans for this second round of Betclic ELITE.

Limoges CSP will have to play without two of its players for the second round of Betclic Elite this Saturday, October 4. The Limoges club will host JDA Dijon in their Beaublanc arena without their captain Nicolas Lang (1.96m, 35 years) nor their wing Shawn Tanner (1.94m, 24 years), as reported by Populaire du Centre journalist Matthieu Marot.

The first is suffering from an adductor injury while the second has a calf injury. Both will be missing against Dijon.

Nicolas Lang, an irreplaceable leader

Nicolas Lang’s absence is a real blow for CSP. The French international guard is much more than just a scorer: he is a charismatic leader, the voice of the locker room and the soul of the team. His impact goes beyond his statistics, as he embodies the stability and experience of the group. Without their key shooter, coach Dario Gjergja will have to reinvent his external rotation and find new leadership on the court.

Shawn Tanner, sidelined again

As if that wasn’t enough, Shawn Tanner will also be unavailable again. Suffering from a calf injury for several days after staying on the bench during the opening victory against Bourg-en-Bresse, Zaccharie Risacher’s cousin will again be forced to watch the game from the stands.

Beaublanc called for support

Against a JDA Dijon team looking for their first win in Betclic Elite this season, the equation becomes complex. Limoges will need to rely on their defense, the emergence of certain players seeking responsibilities, and especially their crowd’s energy. More than ever, Beaublanc will be called upon to play its sixth-man role to help Cercle Saint-Pierre secure another success after defeating JL last weekend.
