The Indiana Fever has officially announced its collaboration with Netflix for a special jersey dedicated to the series « Stranger Things ». This partnership is part of the promotion for the fifth and final season of the Duffer brothers’ show, which will be released starting this November.

A design that reflects the series’ dark universe

The red and black jersey departs from the franchise’s traditional colors to better match the series’ atmosphere. This sophisticated design recalls the alternative dimension present in « Stranger Things » and stands out from typical WNBA uniforms.

« This jersey represents the fierce spirit of our team and the brave energy present in ‘Stranger Things’ – two forces that never back down, » explained Amber Cox, COO and General Manager of the Fever. Initial reactions have been extremely positive, with many appreciating its more elaborate design compared to most NBA City Edition jerseys.

Six games scheduled with this special uniform

The Fever will wear this collector’s jersey six times during the season: July 30 against the Mercury, August 9 against the Sky, August 12 against the Wings, August 26 against the Storm, August 29 against the Sparks, and September 9 against the Lynx.

This collaboration is no geographical coincidence. « Stranger Things » is set in Hawkins, a fictional Indiana town located about 130 kilometers from Indianapolis. In fact, a first jersey combining the franchise and the series was already released in 2021 and sold well.

The timing of this marketing operation is perfect for the Fever, which has been enjoying favorable media attention since Caitlin Clark’s arrival. With this special jersey launching a few months before the final season’s release, the team is making a strategic communication move that should appeal to fans of both universes.
