The Maxa NBL Finals just got a whole lot more interesting. On June 8, BK KVIS Pardubice survived a brutal, wire-to-wire battle against ERA Basketball Nymburk, escaping with a 101-100 victory that ties the best-of series at 2-2. After falling behind 2-1, Pardubice refused to let Nymburk close out the series, delivering one of the most dramatic performances of the postseason.

Bryant Jr. and Bonham: A Two-Man Wrecking Crew

The story of Game 4 starts and ends with Joe Bryant Jr.. The American forward was simply unstoppable, pouring in 30 points, 2 rebounds, and 4 assists in just 25.8 minutes of action. His efficiency in limited minutes was the defining factor of the contest — every possession he was on the floor felt decisive. When Pardubice needed buckets in the tightest moments, Bryant Jr. delivered.

Trey Bonham was equally critical, contributing 25 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds in 28.3 minutes. His two-way presence gave Pardubice a reliable engine throughout the game — not just as a scorer, but as a ball-handler and facilitator capable of making plays when the pressure peaked. Together, Bryant Jr. and Bonham accounted for 55 of Pardubice’s 101 points, a staggering combined output that ultimately proved to be the difference.

The supporting cast did its part as well. Jakub Tuma chipped in 11 points and 5 assists in 25.8 minutes, while Jacob Evans III added 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Lubos Kovar provided solid interior work with 7 points and 4 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench.

Nymburk’s Balance Wasn’t Enough

Nymburk, for their part, put together a remarkably balanced offensive effort — and still came up one point short. Five players reached double figures: Martin Kriz led the way with 19 points, while Ondrej Sehnal, Jaromir Bohacik, and Jaquan Lawrence each contributed 15 points. Tony Perkins added 13 in just 17.2 minutes off the bench.

Martin Kriz — 19pts, 2reb, 1ast

Sehnal was particularly active as the offensive engine, racking up 12 assists in 30.6 minutes. Lawrence was a force on the boards with 8 rebounds. The problem for Nymburk wasn’t effort or firepower — it was the inability to close out a game they had every opportunity to win. Five players in double figures and 100 points on the board is usually enough to seal a Finals game. Not on this night.

The one-point margin tells the full story of this series. Both teams are evenly matched, both capable of explosive offensive performances, and neither has been able to pull away. With the series now tied at 2-2, every remaining game becomes a potential series-defining moment. Pardubice will carry significant momentum into Game 5, knowing that Bryant Jr. and Bonham can take over a game at any moment. Nymburk, meanwhile, will need to find a way to contain that duo — or risk watching their championship lead disappear entirely.
