Rupert shines as Fenerbahçe takes control
Fenerbahçe seized the initiative at the 15-minute mark (27-28) thanks to an incandescent Iliana Rupert, who poured in 10 points during the second quarter. The Turkish powerhouse never relinquished their advantage in a tension-filled encounter in Zaragoza, Spain. The French forward played a pivotal role in claiming her first EuroLeague crown, finishing with 16 points and 6 rebounds.
While this marks Rupert’s maiden triumph at Europe’s highest level, it represents another prestigious addition to an already impressive trophy collection. At 24, the Olympic silver medalist can now boast victories in the EuroCup, WNBA, French Championship (where she earned MVP honors), French Cup, and now the EuroLeague.
Williams, meanwhile, secured her second EuroLeague title following her 2022 success with Sopron. In the final, « Spooky » contributed 4 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. True to form, the EuroLeague’s best defender excelled on the other end of the court with 4 steals and 1 block, neutralizing Galatasaray‘s primary threats.

Allemand earns MVP honors as Meesseman makes history
Belgian point guard Julie Allemand ultimately claimed Final Six MVP honors after flirting with a triple-double throughout the match. The Fenerbahçe floor general – who previously won the 2023 EuroCup with Williams and Johannès at ASVEL – recorded 13 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Allemand’s stellar performance helped deliver a seventh EuroLeague Women title to compatriot Emma Meesseman, who remained brilliant with 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. At 32, the Belgian Cats forward has become the most decorated player in the competition’s modern era, surpassing Alba Torrens, Natalia Vieru, and Diana Taurasi (6 titles each).

Marine Johannès experienced disappointment, falling short of her first European crown. Deprived of competition MVP Dorka Juhasz, who suffered an injury in the semifinal, Galatasaray attempted to turn the tide without success. The French guard delivered another valuable performance with 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists in 36 minutes, but departed empty-handed.
Twelve years after losing to their Istanbul rivals in the EuroLeague Women final, Fenerbahçe claimed revenge and ascended to Europe’s summit. Following championships in 2023 and 2024, this marks the Turkish club’s third continental triumph, succeeding Prague as champions.
