Frank Ntilikina set to stay and extend with Partizan Belgrade?

Currently under contract with Partizan Belgrade until 2026, French guard Frank Ntilikina (1.93m, 27 years old) is reportedly close to renewing his contract with the Serbian club to extend the term until 2027, according to local media Telesport. However, this information has been tempered by the player’s agent, Olivier Mazet, who told us that « nothing has been signed in this regard at the moment. »

After seven years in the United States, having made the big jump from Strasbourg to New York in 2017, Frank Ntilikina returned to Europe in Belgrade last summer to « get back to competition and the game », as he told us at the start of the French national team’s EuroBasket preparation. While he draws « an interesting assessment » of his first season, the point guard has had ups and downs in 2024-2025, partly due to injuries that haven’t spared him (missing 13 regular season games). Still strong defensively, Ntilikina ultimately averaged 7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2 assists in his 21 games played.
While rumors suggested AS Monaco’s interest in the Olympic silver medalist, the Serbian media assures that « Partizan and Ntilikina have agreed to extend their collaboration, but under new conditions ». Thus, the player, who still has one year left on his contract, has reportedly « accepted a significant salary reduction » to extend for an additional season, until 2027. Could this mean spreading his next contract year over two seasons?
Our Serbian colleagues suggest that, « aware that he represents a certain risk » due to his injury history, Ntilikina would prefer « the long-term security offered by the contract » rather than his earnings, reinforcing his full commitment to the EuroLeague club’s sporting project.
