Dubai is once again trying to convince Olympiacos and Thomas Walkup.
A new offer of around $1 million has been made to the Greek club, with the possibility of including Justin Anderson in the deal, sources tell BeBasket.
The player is reportedly open and in favor of the move, while the European champions are more reluctant to sell a key player from recent seasons.
Thomas Walkup is one of the premier defensive guards in European basketball. After a standout college career at Stephen F. Austin, he began his professional journey in Germany with MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg before joining Žalgiris Kaunas in 2018, where he established himself as one of the EuroLeague’s top playmakers and perimeter defenders. Since signing with Olympiacos in 2021, Walkup has been a key piece of the club’s success, helping the Reds win multiple Greek League and Cup titles, as well as the 2026 EuroLeague championship. Renowned for his leadership, elite defense, basketball IQ, and unselfish playmaking, he was named the EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year in 2024 and has also represented the Greek national team after obtaining Greek citizenship.
