Cedi Osman doubtful for EuroBasket 2025 semi-final

Turkish forward Cedi Osman faces uncertainty just hours before the Eurobasket 2025 semi-final against Greece. Injured in the foot during the quarter-final victory against Poland, the player hadn’t participated in team training sessions since the incident.
During this morning’s training in Riga, Latvia, Cedi Osman was able to participate in part of the warm-up routine with his teammates. However, this positive development remains insufficient to guarantee his presence on the court for tonight’s showdown against Greece.
The Turkish technical staff will have to make a last-minute decision regarding their key player’s participation. The crucial importance of this semi-final could push the staff to take calculated risks with their forward’s health, given what’s at stake with a potential EuroBasket final qualification, which would be a first for Turkish basketball since 2001.
The situation therefore remains completely open, and all scenarios are still possible for Osman. His actual presence will likely only be known when the starting lineups are announced, just minutes before tip-off of this highly anticipated semi-final.
