Another setback for Nancy: Goudou-Sinha injured just before season start

SLUC Nancy concluded their preseason games on a high note this Saturday, September 20, with a decisive win on Spirou Charleroi’s court (78-99). Thanks to a blazing start (12-31 after ten minutes), Sylvain Lautié’s players quickly took control and managed the game. However, the evening took a much less pleasant turn with the early exit of Enzo Goudou-Sinha (1.82m, 26 years old).

A brilliant start spoiled by injury

The French point guard had started the game in the best possible way. In just ten minutes, he had compiled 11 points on 4/5 shooting and 4 assists for an efficiency rating of 14. But an ankle injury abruptly ended his performance. « Injured in the ankle, Enzo Goudou-Sinha will need to undergo medical examinations, » reports L’Est Républicain.

Already without Stéphane Gombauld for the season start, SLUC Nancy now faces another uncertainty about their roster one week before the championship begins.

Uncertainty before the clash with ASVEL

The Lorraine club will start their official season on Sunday, September 28, on ASVEL’s court. The question now is whether Enzo Goudou-Sinha will be able to play in this first Betclic ELITE game. If absent, the staff will need to find a quick solution to fill this void at point guard. The roster is already thin in the backcourt, even though Mohammad Amini is returning to training this Monday.

The coming week will be decisive, between medical examinations for the point guard and final collective adjustments before the big leap into competition.
