Alessandro Pajola is a new Partizan Belgrade player.

The Italian point guard accepted Partizan’s offer, signing a one-year contract with an option for the following season.

As anticipated by 5th quarter, Pajola is set to leave Virtus Bologna after 11 years to join Partizan Belgrade.

Alessandro Pajola is an Italian point guard known for his outstanding defensive skills, leadership, intensity, and team-first mentality. Born in Ancona in 1999, he developed in the youth system of Stamura Ancona before joining Virtus Bologna in 2015 at just 16 years old. Over the years, he became a key player for the club, establishing himself as one of the best perimeter defenders in Italian and European basketball.

With Virtus Bologna, Pajola has won several major trophies, including the Basketball Champions League in 2019, the EuroCup in 2022, two Italian championships, and multiple Italian Super Cups. He was also named the best Under-22 player in the Italian league during the 2020–21 season.

Pajola has also become an important member of the Italian national team, representing Italy at the Tokyo Olympics, the FIBA World Cup, and the EuroBasket. Known for his defensive pressure, basketball IQ, playmaking, and winning mentality, he has developed into one of the leaders and most respected guards of Virtus Bologna.
