After a blank season, Milhan Charles returns to NCAA

NCAA - Milhan Charles, previously announced to join Antibes for the 2024-2025 season before health issues sidelined him, will continue his career in the United States. The French wing has officially signed with the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff in NCAA.

Milhan Charles (2.00 m, 21 years old) won’t wear Antibes’ colors this season. The wing player will head to the United States to experience NCAA with the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions. He announced this career shift through a statement on his Instagram account, shared by his agency Keucheyan, following a medically challenging year.

An unusual path

Originally from Manosque, Milhan Charles long favored his native region before catching the attention of Aix-Venelles, where he played in U18 and NM2. Later spotted by Antibes Sharks, he was set to join their professional roster for the 2024-2025 season, but couldn’t honor this commitment due to a serious health issue, which is now behind him.

Before this setback, Charles had a successful first professional experience with Limburg in the Netherlands, averaging 12 points with 49% shooting and 4.1 rebounds. This promising season led to being selected third overall in the G-League international draft in June 2024 by the San Diego franchise, though without immediate follow-up.

New challenge in the United States

Finally, Milhan Charles will begin his American journey through NCAA. He joins Arkansas-Pine Bluff, a modest university program competing in the SWAC conference. The program has won only one conference tournament (in 2010) but has built a local reputation, particularly through its conference loyalty and strong home attendance between 2009 and 2015.

With this choice, the Frenchman follows the trend of young European players crossing the Atlantic to relaunch or develop their careers in the American university circuit.
