Biberovic and Baldwin in Great Form to Lead Fenerbahçe
Tarik Biberovic was the man of the match with an exceptional performance of 28 points and 10 rebounds. The Bosnian player confirmed his excellent current form by completely dominating the opposing paint. Alongside him, Wade Baldwin IV proved valuable with 21 points and 9 assists, perfectly orchestrating his team’s offensive play. Metecan Birsen also contributed with 14 points.
On the Beşiktaş side, Devon Dotson tried to keep his team afloat with 17 points, followed by Sertac Sanli and former Villeurbanne player Jonah Mathews who each scored 14 points. Despite these individual efforts, the team failed to contain the opposing offense.
Fenerbahçe claimed its tenth Turkish Cup by defeating local rival Beşiktaş 91-74. A convincing victory that allows the yellow and dark blue club to retain its trophy for the third consecutive year. It also allows Nando De Colo, back with the club since early January, to win another trophy in his career.
« Winning a cup is always great, especially with Fenerbahçe, » commented the veteran. « We had a lot of problems, injuries, you know. We showed character on the court, stayed united. It’s very encouraging for the future. Now we’re going to savor this moment and keep the momentum going for the rest of the season. »

A Decisive Third Quarter
The first half had actually favored Beşiktaş, who trailed by only four points at halftime (46-42). But the start of the third quarter completely changed the game. Fenerbahçe went on a 12-1 run that put their opponent in great difficulty.
Beşiktaş tried to come back, but Fenerbahçe definitively sealed the match with another 10-point run at the end of the third quarter. This sequence allowed Sarunas Jasikevicius‘s men to calmly manage the final minutes and secure a comfortable victory.
This tenth Turkish Cup confirms Fenerbahçe’s recent dominance in this national competition. The Istanbul club achieves a historic three-peat and establishes itself as the benchmark of Turkish basketball.
