A new Spanish challenge for Morin
Tenerife announced this Sunday the arrival of Yannis Morin to strengthen their frontcourt for the Liga Endesa playoffs. The Martinican player comes off an intense season with Akita in Japan, where he averaged 10.9 points and 8.3 rebounds for a 16.7 efficiency rating in 26 minutes across 60 games.
Previously seen in Spain in 2024, Morin finished the season with Murcia, playing ten league games with averages of 7.4 points and 5.7 rebounds. He contributed to the team’s impressive run to the finals against Real Madrid.
After stints at INSEP, Cholet, Denain, Le Havre, Le Mans, Châlons-Reims, Strasbourg, and Roanne, Morin also had experience in the United States with the Oklahoma City Blue in G-League (2017-2018). Tenerife becomes his second Spanish club, and he returns to a Liga Endesa that he successfully adapted to during his first spell.
Already arrived in the Canary Islands, the French international will immediately join the squad – which finished third in the regular season – to prepare for upcoming challenges, starting with a playoff quarter-final against Badalona (6th in regular season). The Canarian club hopes his physical presence and defensive activity will help achieve their playoff goals.
