Le Mans bets on stability with Yeguete
Previously contracted until 2025, Wilfried Yeguete decided to continue his Le Mans journey for two additional seasons, as announced by the club this Monday, May 12, after the victory against ASVEL. This extension rewards the commitment and consistency of the center who was trained at the University of Florida.
A pillar in the Sarthe locker room, Yeguete embodies MSB’s stability and fighting spirit. His 2024-2025 season still demonstrates his essential role, averaging 8.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in 29 Betclic ELITE games. In the Leaders Cup, where Le Mans won the trophy, he was even more valuable, averaging 10.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 3 games.
In the exclusive circle of Betclic ELITE’s best rebounders
Monday evening also marked a historic milestone for Wilfried Yeguete individually. Indeed, the big man is now officially in the Top 10 all-time rebounders in Betclic ELITE history, confirming his status as a national reference in this area. This achievement crowns an already successful collective season, with the Leaders Cup victory, qualification for the French Cup final, and a firmly secured place in the championship’s Top 6.

With this extension, Le Mans confirms its ambition to build on continuity around a respected and still impactful leader. He will share the center position with the lanky Jonathan Jeanne while power forward Lucas Dufeal, elected Pro B’s best defender of the season, will support them in the paint. Enough to intimidate many attackers.
