Le Mans gets closer to playoffs while Saint-Quentin remains in losing streak
Lilian Bordron
Nolan Traoré (1.91m, 18 years old) showed his worth again this Saturday May 3rd during the 33rd round of Betclic ELITE. Despite SQBB’s narrow home defeat against Le Mans (91-89), the young French point guard displayed his full offensive arsenal and game management skills, just weeks before the end of the regular season.
With 21 points on 8/15 shooting, including an impressive 4/7 from 3-point range, 7 assists with only 2 turnovers, 1 rebound and 1 steal in 28 minutes, Nolan Traoré delivered one of his most complete performances in a Saint-Quentin jersey. Unfortunately, this great individual showing didn’t result in a victory for the Créteil native.
Against MSB, who were looking to bounce back after their French Cup final loss, the young international knew how to dictate the game’s pace and meet physical and tactical demands. Saint-Quentin, fighting for play-in qualification (10th with 12 wins and 16 losses), can be pleased with their point guard’s high level of play, though it wasn’t enough to secure the win. SQBB has two regular season games left to try to reach the Betclic ELITE playoffs.
As the season end approaches, such performances should continue to draw observers’ attention and fuel speculation around the 2025 Draft. Check out his game highlights in the following tweet:
