The Minnesota Timberwolves pulled off a spectacular comeback to defeat the Denver Nuggets 119-114 and level their Western Conference playoff series at one win apiece. Anthony Edwards led the charge with 30 points, while Julius Randle added 24 in this crucial road victory in Denver.
A Thrilling Finish After a 19-Point Deficit
The game turned in its final seconds. Edwards lost the ball with 31 seconds left, sending Christian Braun to the free-throw line. But Braun missed one of his two attempts, leaving Denver ahead 114-115 with 19 seconds on the clock.
After a Minnesota timeout, Randle converted two clutch free throws before Donte DiVincenzo sealed the win with a transition dunk. The Timberwolves completed their remarkable comeback after trailing by 19 points in the first quarter.
For Denver, Jamal Murray scored 30 points while Nikola Jokic recorded 24 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. However, the Nuggets’ All-Star duo completely fell apart in the fourth quarter, shooting just 2-of-12 for a combined 4 points.

Murray Rediscovers His Three-Point Shot
After going 0-for-8 from three in Game 1, Murray bounced back with his long-range shooting. He opened the game with a three-pointer and was an impressive 5-of-7 from deep in the first half. The Nuggets’ guard even hit a half-court buzzer-beater to tie the game at 64 at halftime.
Edwards, who had looked rusty in his 22-point Game 1 performance due to knee issues, showed a completely different side of his game. This time he attacked the rim more instead of settling for outside shots, which fueled his team’s comeback.
The series, now tied 1-1, shifts to Minneapolis for Game 3 on Thursday night. Denver, who had a perfect 8-0 historical record when winning the first two games of a playoff series, squandered a golden opportunity to take control against their Northwest Division rival.
