Still sidelined, Mohammad Amini (Nancy) will be ready for Betclic ELITE season start

After a very promising first season with SLUC Nancy, Mohammad Amini (1.99m, 20 years old) is experiencing a slight delay in preparing for his second season in Lorraine. Following an impressive Asian Cup with Iran, the guard has been injured since his return to France, as reported by L’Est Républicain in early September.
Suffering from a hamstring tear, Mohammad Amini has to watch the summer preparation from the sidelines. However, the former AS Monaco player should be operational for the start of the Betclic ELITE season, scheduled for September 28 at ASVEL for SLUC Nancy.
Last season, Mohammad Amini was one of the revelations of the French championship, averaging over 6 points with 57% shooting in 16 minutes per game. Given responsibility for the first time at the professional level by Sylvain Lautié, he is now an essential piece in Nancy’s rotation.
An international since 2023, the 20-year-old player was able to take on a leadership role this summer, averaging over 14 points and 5 rebounds during the Asian Cup, where Iran finished with the bronze medal (losing to the winner, Australia).
