Player Profile
Few athletes can claim to have reached the Mississippi state freestyle swimming finals while also excelling on the basketball court, but Terence Davis is no ordinary player. This versatile shooting guard from Southaven has always defied expectations, turning every obstacle into a stepping stone toward success.
In high school, Davis was already juggling multiple disciplines with remarkable ease, earning all-state honors in basketball while racking up over 1,000 receiving yards in football. This athletic versatility would shape his unique approach to the game, where every possession becomes an opportunity to showcase his complete skill set.
At Ole Miss, Davis methodically built his college legacy, improving year after year until he carved his name into the program's history. His 1,512 points rank him 12th among the school's all-time leading scorers, while his 140 steals reflect a sharp defensive instinct that sets him apart from the guards of his generation.
The summer of 2019 marked a decisive turning point. Going undrafted in the NBA Draft, Davis channeled his disappointment into determination during the Summer League, impressing the Toronto Raptors enough to earn a two-year contract. His first professional season perfectly illustrates his mindset: the only Raptor to play all 72 regular season games, including those in the NBA Bubble.
Traded to the Sacramento Kings in March 2021, Davis continued to prove that talent and relentless work ethic can overcome labels. His journey from undrafted status to regular NBA contributor inspires a new generation of basketball hopefuls.
