Sterling Brown and Carlik Jones lead heroic comeback

Sterling Brown was unstoppable for the black-and-whites, finishing with a game-high 31 points and seven rebounds. His backcourt partner Carlik Jones provided excellent support with 27 points and six assists, forming a dynamic duo that Valencia simply couldn’t contain in the crucial moments.

Dylan Osetkowski contributed 14 points to the winning effort, while Isak Bonga added 13 points. Veteran point guard Nick Calathes orchestrated the offense with nine points and six assists, proving instrumental in the comeback victory.

Valencia, despite the disappointing result, received strong individual performances across their roster. Kameron Taylor led the visitors with 18 points, while both Brancou Badio and Darius Thompson contributed 16 points each. Nate Reuvers chipped in with 12 points, though the team was notably without Jean Montero due to injury.

Momentum swings define dramatic finish

Valencia appeared to have the game under control for large stretches, building what seemed like a commanding double-digit advantage late in the fourth quarter. However, Partizan demonstrated remarkable resilience, with Brown and Jones taking over in crunch time to spark the dramatic comeback that forced the first overtime period.

The visitors looked poised to close out the victory in the initial extra period, establishing a five-point cushion. But Jones responded with a crucial sequence that sent the contest into a second overtime, much to the delight of the Belgrade faithful.

In the second overtime, Partizan finally seized control of the proceedings. Brown delivered the key baskets when his team needed them most, helping secure a hard-fought victory that extended the team’s winning streak. The triumph showcased Partizan’s fighting spirit, even though they remain out of the EuroLeague playoff race.

The defeat drops Valencia to 4th place in the standings with a 21-13 record, a reminder that no lead is safe in European basketball’s premier competition.
