Collin Malcolm (6’7″, 28 years old) is no longer a Paris Basketball player. The capital’s club officially announced this Monday the departure of their American forward, a week after the revelation of his future commitment with Hapoel Tel-Aviv. At 27, the former Cyprus and Estonia player will continue his career in Israel after significantly contributing to the recent successes of the Parisian club.

A New Chapter for Paris Basketball

Arriving in Paris in summer 2023, Collin Malcolm quickly established himself as a key player in the Parisian roster. With his activity, versatility, and team-first mentality, the 6’7″ forward became indispensable in the systems of both Tuomas Iisalo and Tiago Splitter.

In two seasons, he collected four trophies: the 2024 EuroCup, 2024 Leaders Cup, 2025 French Cup, and finally the 2025 French Championship. He was also selected for the LNB All-Star Game, recognizing his consistent impact within the team.

« Thank you Collin, » Paris Basketball simply wrote this Tuesday on their social media, paying tribute to whom they describe as a « club legend. » The Ashland, Oregon native closes his Parisian chapter after a solid first season in EuroLeague (7.7 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 19 minutes per game).

Heading to Hapoel Tel-Aviv for Two Seasons

Initially rumored to be in contact with Maccabi Tel-Aviv, Collin Malcolm will ultimately play for the city’s other major club, Hapoel Tel-Aviv. He has signed a two-year contract with the ambitious team, which is determined to make its mark on the continental stage after promotion to EuroLeague.

With this departure, Paris Basketball continues to see its 2024-2025 roster dissolve: after T.J. Shorts (Panathinaikos), Tyson Ward (Olympiakos), Kevarrius Hayes (Monaco), and Mikael Jantunen (Fenerbahce), another major piece of the rotation leaves. The summer reconstruction will therefore be crucial for the capital’s club.
