The NBA has officially announced its annual Mexico City game schedule for the 2026-2027 season. The Denver Nuggets will take on the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at Arena CDMX, in what will be the 35th NBA game organized in the country since 1992.

This matchup looks particularly exciting with the expected return of Tyrese Haliburton. The Pacers’ star guard, who missed the entire 2025-2026 season due to an Achilles tendon rupture suffered during Game 7 of the 2025 NBA Finals, is expected to be fully recovered. The Pacers, who finished with the second-worst record in the league (19-63), could also benefit from a high pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.

A Clash Between Tradition and Excellence

On the other side, the Nuggets are one of the Western Conference’s premier teams, led by Nikola Jokić, a three-time NBA MVP who averaged a triple-double this season. This will be Denver’s second game in Mexico, following a preseason game against Golden State in Monterrey in 2006. The Pacers, meanwhile, will make their Mexican debut, becoming the 23rd NBA franchise to play a game in the country.

The timing of this game is no coincidence. For the third consecutive season, the game will coincide with Día de los Muertos festivities across the country. To honor this tradition, the game will be played on a court featuring the colors of this iconic celebration.

« Hosting the 35th game in the country reflects the depth of the relationship between the NBA and Mexico, as well as the role this event plays in bringing the global game closer to fans locally, throughout Latin America and around the world, » said Raul Zarraga, Senior Vice President of NBA Latin America.

This game is part of the NBA‘s international expansion strategy, with Mexico representing its largest market in Latin America. Outside the United States and Canada, no country has hosted more NBA games than Mexico since the historic first game on October 27, 1992, between Dallas and Houston. The game will be broadcast on ESPN and accompanied by social programs and community activities in Mexico City.
