Maxim Logue continues his tour of the United States. After Oregon and Florida during his first two NCAA seasons, the former Paris Basketball prospect will discover North Carolina wearing the UNC jersey next year. A North Carolina program now coached by Mike Malone, NBA champion in 2023 with the Denver Nuggets.

Maxim Logue (2.05m, 20 years old) comes off a solid season with Florida Atlantic, despite limited playing time (11.2 minutes on average). Coming off the bench, the Lyon native compiled 4.8 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in 2025-2026. The French big man could play an interesting role in the Tar Heels’ interior thanks to his paint presence and verticality.

A powerful interior addition for the Tar Heels

With 96% of his shots taken in the paint and an impressive 28 dunks last season (the best total on his team), Maxim Logue could constitute a valuable reinforcement in the frontcourt. He should provide precious minutes off the bench for UNC.

Most importantly, the former Pole France player should help the Tar Heels compensate for Zayden High’s departure to South Florida, while several players remain uncertain about their future. Under the jersey of the six-time NCAA champions, Maxim Logue should benefit from greater exposure than at Florida Atlantic.

This represents a significant opportunity for the 20-year-old center, who still has two years of NBA Draft eligibility remaining. His efficient shooting (67% field goal percentage) and rebounding ability could prove crucial for a UNC program looking to rebuild under Malone’s leadership.

Maxim Logue’s 2025-2026 statistics: 4.8 points on 67% shooting and 3.1 rebounds in 11.2 minutes of playing time.
