Moustapha Fall returns to Olympiacos and ready for EuroLeague final stretch

Excellent news is coming from Greece. According to information reported by Sport 24 media this Monday, March 23rd, Moustapha Fall (2.18m, 34 years old) has now recovered from his serious injury and is available for Olympiacos. The French center, who hasn’t played since Game 3 of the Greek finals in June 2025, is ready to begin the final stretch of the EuroLeague season.
A long-awaited comeback after patellar tendon rupture
Eligible for EuroLeague matches, away from the courts since last June due to a left knee patellar tendon rupture, the Frenchman now follows « the entirety of Piraeus’ training program at 100%, » as reported by Greek media. Registered on the EuroLeague list at the end of February, his effective return to competition depended on the validation of his health status. This is now accomplished.
It should be noted that only European matches can be played by Fall, who is not registered for the Greek championship. As stated in the official announcement: « Moustapha Fall is back. He has completed several team training sessions and is available to play in EuroLeague games with Olympiacos. However, he is not eligible to compete in the Greek league, as he has not been registered and will not be added to the roster. »
Exceptional depth for the playoffs push
This return offers exceptional bench depth to Olympiacos for the remainder of this season’s events. With a roster now at full strength, Greek coach Georgios Bartzokas has a rare luxury at the center position. Moustapha Fall joins Nikola Milutinov, Tyrique Jones and former Monaco player Donta Hall. This strengthens the Athenian frontcourt, where competition was already very serious.
Olympiacos, which aspires to secure the best possible position in the EuroLeague standings, recovers Fall at the most opportune moment: with five games remaining in the regular season, giving him time to regain rhythm ahead of the playoffs. It remains to be seen when Georgios Bartzokas will decide to officially unleash his giant back into the arena, where his deterrent capacity could prove decisive in the upcoming crucial matches.
