Monaco inquired about Frank Ntilikina, who is under contract with Partizan Belgrade

Looking for a French player to meet the LTP* quotas required in Betclic ELITE, Monaco has explored the possibility of signing Frank Ntilikina (6’4″, 27 years old). The French international is currently under contract with Partizan Belgrade, with whom he played the 2024-2025 EuroLeague season.
AS Mónaco need a French player for domestic league. They are monitoring Frank Ntilikina, I was informed.

Monitoring without formal offer
According to Encestando, AS Monaco is following Ntilikina’s situation with the aim of strengthening their backcourt while complying with the locally trained player (LTP) rule. The defensive profile of the former NBA player and his ability to play all three perimeter positions appeal to the Principality club.
However, at this stage, no official offer has been made. The player remains contractually committed to the Serbian club, with his NBA clauses having expired last July. While local press has repeatedly mentioned Partizan Belgrade’s desire to part ways with the Alsatian player, it’s certainly not conceivable for the former SIG Strasbourg prospect to give up his second contract year. Back in EuroLeague after ending his NBA journey, Ntilikina had ups and downs in 2024-2025, missing 13 regular season games due to injuries. In his traditional role as a strong defender, he averaged 7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 2 assists in 21 games played.
Partizan still counts on him
Not selected for the French national team for EuroBasket 2025, Ntilikina plans to return to Belgrade for preparation. His camp denies any current plans to leave.
However, the situation could evolve depending on market conditions and the needs of both parties, with Monaco remaining alert to any opportunity to strengthen their LTP roster.
*Following the departures of Cornelie and Jaiteh, AS Monaco now has only six LTPs under contract: Matthew Strazel, Elie Okobo, Terry Tarpey, Juhann Begarin, and Yoan Makoundou.
