Mikko Larkas, still in the running to stay at Limoges CSP?

Mikko Larkas, Limoges CSP’s coach since last December, remains a credible option to lead the team next season. This is according to Le Populaire du Centre, which notes that the Finn, despite mixed results, still has the confidence of Crawford Palmer, the club’s sporting director.
Limoges CSP: Mikko Larkas, still an option on the table
Preparation for the 2025-2026 season is already well underway at Limoges CSP. While Nebojsa Bogavac, coach of Alliance Sport Alsace (Pro B), was long considered the favorite to succeed Mikko Larkas, this lead seems to have cooled down today. According to Le Populaire du Centre, discussions between the two parties did not lead to an agreement and the profile of the 51-year-old Montenegrin does not fully match the club’s expectations.
In this context, several coaching profiles, particularly foreign ones, continue to be evaluated. However, Mikko Larkas maintains internal support, starting with Crawford Palmer. The sporting director still sees him as a head coach and not just an assistant, as the local newspaper reminds us.
Mixed results but extenuating circumstances
While results under the Finnish coach’s leadership have not met expectations, several observers believe that the limited roster, coupled with Alexandre Chassang’s long absence, has considerably complicated his mission.
A summer of major changes at CSP
Whatever happens, Limoges CSP is preparing for a busy summer. Besides the coaching position, the club will also need to undergo a deep roster overhaul, marked by a significant number of players still under contract. The objective is clear: build a group capable of aiming higher next season, with an increased budget.
