Leopold Delaunay invited by Golden State Warriors for Summer League

Leopold Delaunay (1.93m, 23 years old), MSB player for two years, will experience a special summer. After signing a contract extension until 2028 with Le Mans, the 22-year-old guard will cross the Atlantic to play in the California Classic Summer League with the Golden State Warriors.

A great reward for Leopold Delaunay’s progress
Having a solid 2024-2025 season in Betclic ELITE (8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 32 games), Leopold Delaunay is attracting attention well beyond French borders. His activity on both ends of the floor and his versatility impressed the Golden State Warriors, who invited him to participate in their Summer League in Sacramento in early July.
This competition, called « California Classic », allows young players or free agents to showcase themselves to NBA franchises. Delaunay will play alongside Canadian-Jamaican center Jackson Rowe (2.01m, 28 years old), who played for Roanne during the 2020-2021 season.
Coming through Cholet’s youth academy, Delaunay confirmed his ability to establish himself in the French championship at Vichy and then Le Mans. He also performed well during the 2024 Leaders Cup, averaging 9.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists in three winning games for his team.
This NBA opportunity doesn’t change his immediate future: Delaunay is committed to MSB until 2028, and could return from the California camp with even more confidence for his next season in Betclic ELITE.
