Johnson prevails over Carter Bryant in an average edition. The Miami Heat player stood out with his energy, dancing and power despite the lack of appeal of the competition.

Keshad Johnson won the NBA 2026 dunk contest during All-Star Saturday Night held at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, on February 14. The Miami Heat forward, originally from Oakland, triumphed in a contest that also featured Carter Bryant (San Antonio Spurs), Jaxson Hayes (Los Angeles Lakers) and Jase Richardson (Orlando Magic).

A one-sided show

Johnson made an impression from his first attempt by bringing out legendary rapper E-40 to the song « Tell Me When To Go ». The former Arizona player performed a Dr. J-style dunk jumping over E-40, completing his action with a signature Bay Area dance. This performance earned him a score of 47.4 points.

But while the dunk contest winner got the job done, the evening was marked by the disappointing performance of Jaxson Hayes, who delivered what social media called « the worst dunk in contest history » with a surprising score of 44.6 points in the first round.

The fourth participant was none other than Jase Richardson, son of Jason Richardson, two-time dunk contest winner in 2002 and 2003. Unfortunately, Jase couldn’t advance past the second round despite ambitious moves, as the Magic guard missed his final dunk and fell hard to the floor.

In the final, Johnson faced Carter Bryant who held his own. The Miami player opened the proceedings with a reverse between-the-legs dunk after a self-alley-oop, earning a near-perfect score of 49.6 points. Bryant responded with a perfect 50 points thanks to a spectacular between-the-legs dunk.
