From Boulazac to EuroLeague: Amit Ebo Soon to Leave, BBD Looking for Two Players

Arrived last summer from Lithuania, Amit Ebo could already be packing his bags. According to our information, Maccabi Tel Aviv has been pushing hard to bring back the Israeli international during the break. The transfer is well underway and Boulazac Basket Dordogne is actively working on what comes next.
Freshly promoted to Betclic ELITE, the Périgord club sits just one win behind No. 10 JDA Dijon—the final play-in spot. It’s a notable gap, sure, but also one that leaves some intriguing wiggle room moving forward.
A Departure Soon Compensated Sportingly and Financially
If Amit Ebo’s departure is confirmed, Boulazac would collect a transfer fee and free up the remainder of his salary—creating immediate flexibility to reinvest in the market.
Alexandre Ménard’s staff is already targeting two additions: a point guard to replace Ebo’s playmaking, and a wing to bolster the perimeter rotation. The idea is to reshape how the offense is shared and organized moving forward.
Strong Statistical Contribution in Betclic ELITE
For his first season in France, Amit Ebo was averaging 11.0 points on 42.5% shooting, including 38.1% from 3-point range (6.3 attempts per game), with 1.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 23 minutes over 15 Betclic ELITE games.
Numbers that reflected his hybrid role, capable of alternating between playmaking and scoring, following his two prolific seasons in Lithuania where he finished as the league’s top assist leader.
A Return to His Roots at Maccabi?
A product of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s academy, Amit Ebo spent years developing in Israel before stops in Slovakia and Lithuania. A return to the country’s flagship club would mark a significant step in his trajectory.
For Boulazac, the task now is turning that financial opening into something tangible on the court. At 7–20, Alexandre Ménard’s group is still very much within striking distance of the play-in. What they do over the closing stretch—and in the late-season market—could shape everything that follows.
