Basketball Nymburk
ERA Basketball Nymburk is now one win away from the Maxa NBL title. In a commanding Game 5 performance on June 11, 2026, the Czech powerhouse held BK KVIS Pardubice to just 71 points and pulled ahead 3-2 in the Finals series with a convincing 92-71 victory.
A Balanced Attack Powers Nymburk
Nymburk’s success came from multiple contributors. Matej Svoboda led the team with 19 points and 3 rebounds in 23 minutes, while Ondrej Sehnal delivered an impressive all-around line of 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists in just over 24 minutes. Veteran wing Jaromir Bohacik added 13 points and 6 assists, and guard Tony Perkins chipped in 11 points off a steady 18-minute shift.
Perhaps the most impactful performance of the night came off the bench. Marcus Santos-Silva was a force on both ends of the floor, finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds in just over 21 minutes. His energy and physicality gave Nymburk a clear advantage in the paint and helped set the tone for a dominant defensive showing.
Pardubice Kept Afloat by Bryant Jr.
Despite the lopsided result, Pardubice had a bright spot in Joe Bryant Jr., who led all scorers in the game with 25 points and 4 rebounds in under 22 minutes. His individual effort was impressive, but it was not enough to compensate for a struggling supporting cast. Ryan Moffatt added 14 points and 5 rebounds in over 31 minutes, while Jakub Tuma contributed 8 points in 19 minutes. The rest of the Pardubice roster was largely neutralized by Nymburk’s defense.
Holding an opponent to 71 points in a Finals game is a significant achievement, and ERA Nymburk’s defensive intensity was the defining factor of the evening. Pardubice, who had shown resilience throughout the series, simply could not find enough offensive firepower to match their opponents on this occasion.
With the series now at 3-2 in favor of ERA Nymburk, the defending champions are in the driver’s seat heading into Game 6. Pardubice will need a complete team effort and a much stronger offensive performance to force a decisive Game 7 and keep their title hopes alive.
