Rapid progression among the pros
Having a solid season in Espoirs ELITE (12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 25 games), Christopher Ebunangombe (1.96m, born in July 2007) was also used 12 times by Eric Girard in the first team (averaging 2.3 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists in Betclic ELITE). At less than 17 years old, the point guard already shows great maturity for his age.
With this signing, Le Portel confirms its commitment to focusing on youth and talents from its training center. The northern club had already announced in recent days the arrival of Croatian veteran Filip Kruslin, bringing experience and discipline, thus showing a desire to balance youth and experience in its roster.
The professional transition of Christopher Ebunangombe is an important step for both him and ESSM. The challenge now will be to gain consistency and increase his impact at the professional level.
