Indiana got additional scoring from Kelsey Mitchell, who added 20 points and went 2-for-4 from 3-points, and from Aliyah Boston, who contributed 18 points, 4 assists and 14 rebounds. Atlanta’s response was led by Allisha Gray, who scored a team-high 32 points on 4-for-7 shooting from 3-points, with Rhyne Howard adding 17 points and 5 assists and Angel Reese posting 15 points, 6 assists and 14 rebounds.

Fever flip the script in a tight season series

The win also settled the score in a closely fought season series between the two clubs. Atlanta had won the previous two meetings between the teams in 2026, beating Indiana 113-96 on June 20 and 108-101 on June 18, after the Fever had taken the series opener 83-71 on June 4. The August 16 result gave Indiana a much-needed answer on the road after that stretch of Atlanta victories, snapping the Dream’s two-game run in the head-to-head series and evening the Fever’s overall record against Atlanta this season.

The Fever beat the Dallas Wings 98-87 on August 14 and the New York Liberty 106-92 on August 11, and topped the Chicago Sky 90-86 on the road on August 8, with their only loss in that span coming against the Las Vegas Aces, 86-84, on August 6.
