A third French player joins Gran Canaria

The French colony at Gran Canaria continues to grow. The Spanish club has announced the signing of wing Marie Mané (1.84 m, 29 years old).
The French player, who comes from Zaragoza, joins her compatriots Axelle Merceron (1.89 m, 22 years old) and Caroline Hériaud (1.65 m, 28 years old) to form a French trio under the Canary Islands sun.

A last season in Spain
After going through the French National Training Center, Marie Mane played for several French clubs (Toulouse, Angers, Lattes-Montpellier, Saint-Amand, Nantes-Rezé and Landerneau) before moving abroad in 2024. The La Rochelle native joined Spanish club Zaragoza in December 2024. She will therefore return to the Liga Endesa that she now knows well, having averaged 5.5 points and 1.8 rebounds last season in the Spanish championship, and 6 points and 1.3 rebounds in EuroLeague.
Gran Canaria, a new step
By joining Gran Canaria, the French 3×3 international continues a French tradition on the island. After Caroline Hériaud and Axelle Merceron, she will be the third French player to wear the Canarian club’s jersey. The island team is counting on her experience and impact on both ends of the floor to start their Liga Endesa season well.
