Trent Forrest continues to showcase his elite form at the most crucial stage of the season. Fresh off his MVP performance that led Kosner Baskonia to Copa del Rey glory, the American point guard has seamlessly transitioned back to Liga Endesa action with another commanding display.

The Alabama native proved instrumental in Baskonia‘s victory over a resilient Hiopos Lleida side, who made life difficult for Paolo Galbiati’s squad throughout the contest. Gerard Encuentra’s team put up strong resistance, but Forrest‘s exceptional play ultimately broke down their defensive efforts and secured the win for the Vitoria-based club.

Dominant two-way performance seals the victory

Starting in the first five, Forrest logged 30:04 minutes on the Buesa Arena court and emerged as his team’s leading scorer with 18 points. His shooting efficiency was particularly impressive, converting 2 of 3 two-point attempts (67%) and knocking down 1 of 4 3-points (25%). Most notably, he was nearly perfect from the free-throw line, sinking 11 of 12 attempts (92%).

The veteran point guard showcased his playmaking abilities throughout the game, distributing 4 assists that generated an additional 9 points for Kosner Baskonia. His court vision and ability to find teammates in optimal scoring positions proved crucial in breaking down Lleida’s defensive schemes.

Forrest‘s impact extended well beyond the offensive end. He grabbed 5 rebounds, recorded 1 steal, and blocked 1 shot – his third block of the season. Drawing 9 fouls from the opposition, he consistently put pressure on Lleida’s defense while creating additional scoring opportunities from the charity stripe.

His complete statistical line culminated in a remarkable 30 efficiency rating, earning him Liga Endesa Player of the Week honors for Round 21. This marks the second time this season and in his Liga Endesa career that Forrest has received this prestigious recognition, further cementing his status as one of the league’s premier performers during this decisive stretch of the campaign.
