Coach

In early March 2024, Roanne parted ways with their iconic coach Jean-Denys Choulet. His first tenure on the Loire bench, from 2000 to 2011, marked the renaissance of the Chorale, rising from Pro B to the EuroLeague, including a French championship title in 2007. The second stint was more difficult, spent fighting relegation, but the essential had always been preserved: in an increasingly competitive Betclic ELITE, Roanne remained season after season a championship stronghold, the objective assigned to him when he returned on January 3, 2020 when the club was in danger of relegation.

Roanne chose stability by confirming former youth coach Marc Berjoan as head coach, assisted by Loic Bard and Emilie Duvivier.

For the 2024-2025 season, and until June 30, 2027, Roanne officially appointed Thomas Andrieux as head coach. Eventually, on November 28, 2025, the split between Thomas Andrieux and Chorale de Roanne became official. On December 1st, T.J. Parker took over the Chorale with a clear ambition: return to Betclic ELITE. "The Chorale is not an Elite 2 club," he states.

Budget

For the 2025/2026 season, Roanne has a projected budget of 4.4 M€ (compared to 4.3 M€ last year, +2%), making it the 6th largest budget among the 20 ELITE 2 clubs, with a payroll of 1.4 M€ (1st in ELITE 2) - per DNCCG communication of October 6, 2025.

For the 2024/2025 season, Roanne has a projected budget of 4.3 M€ for their return to Pro B (compared to 4.7 M€ last year, -9%), making it the 5th largest budget among the 20 Pro B clubs, with a payroll of 1.4 M€ (1st in Pro B) - per DNCCGCP communication of October 22, 2024.

For the 2023/2024 season, Roanne had a projected budget of 4.7 M€ in Betclic ELITE (compared to 4.4 M€ the previous year, +6%), making it the 16th largest budget among the 18 Betclic Elite clubs (per DNCCGCP communication of October 12, 2023).
